Chris Clingerman, a software engineer at Exyn Technologies, develops core algorithms as well as designs software for prototype platforms. His main areas of expertise are motion planning and machine learning.
Through vast amounts of coursework and years of research experience, he has nurtured his skill set in fundamental computer science as well as robotics applications, including search-based path planning, probabilistic estimation, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), and sensor fusion. He also has experience in computer vision concepts and computational neuroscience.
Chris graduated Cum Laude in 2009 with honors in research with a BS and again in 2010 with a MS, both in Computer Science from the University of Rochester. His concentrations were artificial intelligence and machine learning. He then spent several years as a graduate research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where he gained experience in real-time robotic systems.
